Another PNE (that’s the Pacific National Exhibition for those of you who do not know) has come and gone, for me. Last year I went with Sarah, this year with my mother. Sure the fair isn’t exactly what it used to be before the city of Vancouver tried to get rid of it, but it still has much of its charm.
I cannot say, with much certainty, how many years I have been going there, but it is without a doubt at least twenty or so. Perhaps the thing that I like most is that it is just a comforting place for me. I like being there surrounded by so many memories. I am not someone who relaxes very easily, so it’s a special place just for that fact alone.

So it would appear that Steve Jobs was not satisfied with the fact that I have owned two ipods. One of the old nano’s and currently a fifth generation iPod movie. But that was not enough proof of my allegiance to the Apple empire. Mr. Jobs demanded that that I leave the Windows world behind and embrace MacOS X.
So I orderd my new baby, a Mac Pro with dual 2.8Ghz Quad-Core processors, 2GB of ram, a 1TB HD and GeForce 8800 GT graphics card.
Why does anyone who does not do any form of high end graphics processing need such a machine? Good question and as soon as I have an answer for that I will be sure to post it here…

Hey we’re all adults here right? Just a group of people out walking our dogs in one of the few places in the city that we can openly do so anymore. The dogs are running all over the place and being, well, dogs. There all happy and yet, off in the corner, seeing rainbows and on the train to crazy town is “those types of owners”.
You know the ones I’m talking about. They live within a strange bubble that only they and their friends dogs should be within. If your dog comes near them, or you do something with your dog that they do not like, then clearly you are the worst human being on earth. Oh but, they won’t keep it to themselves. No, they will be sure to point out to everyone around them what a horrible owner and what a terrible dog you have.
Such as one gem last night at the dog park, my friends dog is running around with her dog and they both seem to be happy about it. She then complains and ‘rescues’ her dog because she’s clearly terrified at being chased around. This is neglecting to mention that the other dogs also running with her, but facts are not relevant here so let us move on.

Over the past little while I have been adding various foods and restaurants to a list. That list being things I will never eat and places I will never visit again.
- Boston Pizza: Horribly over priced and pasta tasting like it came from a can.
- Burger King: Far to many questionable late night burgers.
- Churches Chicken: I think they forgot to include the chicken in the grease lumps.
- Swanson’s Hungry Man Dinners: Salt, salt and more salt.

(1 out of 5) I find myself forgiving an awful lot of things during the summer movie season but “The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor” will not be one of them. If nothing else in this go around they got the special effects right as we all remember the horror that was the finale of the second with the Scorpion King. However, just about everything else, from top to bottom, is a complete waste.
“The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor” takes place an indeterminable, and unlikely (more on that later), time after our heroes second tussle with Imhotep. They have clearly done well for themselves and live care free lives far from their days of adventure. Yet, something is missing from their lives… Could it be… a Mummy? Well, lucky for them their son (played by Luke Ford) has just uncovered the tomb of the first Emperor of Qin (played by Jet Li).
